VisAsia membership opportunities for individual donors were launched in 2002 to respond to the interest from the public in contributing the VisAsia mission of promoting the appreciation of Asian visual arts and culture through exhibitions, events and education.
VisAsia members pledge a minimum annual donation of $1,500 for four years. In appreciation of their support, their names are listed on the Gallery’s honour board and they are invited to private viewings of major exhibitions where they are addressed by a relevant specialist. VisAsia members are also invited to view some of Sydney’s best private Asian collections and are sent complimentary issues of the TAASA Review; The Journal of The Asian Arts Society of Australia. The Lotus membership entitles the holder to have their name on the entrance wall of the new Asian galleries which on the exterior have 64 stylised stainless lotus flowers joining the opaque glass wall panels. Lotus members pledge an annual donation of $2,000 for five years and are invited to all Asian events at the Gallery. VisAsia members and VisAsia Lotus members also automatically become members of the Gallery’s Foundation Donations to VisAsia are tax deductible. For more information contact:
