VisAsia membership opportunities for individual donors were launched in 2002 to respond to the interest from the public in contributing the VisAsia mission of promoting the appreciation of Asian visual arts and culture through exhibitions, events and education.
There are two kinds of membership for individual donors.
VisAsia members pledge a minimum annual donation of $1500 for five years. In appreciation of their support, their names are listed on the Gallery’s honour board and they are invited to private viewings of major exhibitions where they are addressed by a relevant specialist. VisAsia members are also invited to view some of Sydney’s best private Asian collections and are sent complimentary issues of the TAASA Review: the Journal of the Asian Arts Society of Australia.
VisAsia's Lotus members pledge an annual donation of $2000 for five years. They are invited to all Asian events at the Gallery and their names are listed on the stylised lotus flowers at the entrance to the Asian galleries.
VisAsia members also automatically become members of the Gallery's Foundation. Donations to VisAsia are tax deductible.
