Location
The Asian Galleries are located within the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the leading museum of art in New South Wales, and one of Australia's foremost cultural institutions.
Located next to the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens, the Gallery is only a short walk from St James and Museum stations.
Getting here
Parking. There is limited meter parking on Art Gallery Rd and Mrs Macquarie’s Road. Parking is also available in the Domain Car Park.
Bus. The 441 bus departs from the York St side of the Queen Victoria building on the hour and every 20 minutes during the week and every 30 minutes on weekends and public holidays. The Gallery is also on the Sydney Explorer bus route - stop 6.
Train: nearest train stations are St James and Martin Place. Both are 10 minutes walk.

Wednesday 10am - 9pm
(Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day only).
Admission Free
Admission to both the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Asian Gallery is free. Admission charges apply to some exhibitions.
